Which Kia Forte 2022 is right for me?

[ad_1]

The Kia Forte 2022 is a compact sedan that can accommodate five people. It offers tons of technology, functionality, and comfort for a starting price of under $ 20,000 ($ 19,090 to be exact). The Forte competes with Honda Civics, Toyota Camry, Nissan Sentra and its corporate sibling, the Hyundai Elantra. Kia offers an industry-leading 10-year / 100,000-mile warranty on all of its vehicles, including the Kia Forte.

For 2022, the Kia Forte gets a makeover. It gets a facelift, has new driver assistance technology features such as adaptive navigation-based cruise control, highway driving assistance and safety exit warning, and it has a new 10.25-inch infotainment system in the top trims. Kia also added a new, larger 4.2-inch TFT LCD cluster as standard on all versions of the Forte.

The 2022 Kia Forte’s powertrain and chassis remain largely unchanged from last year. You can opt for the 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that develops 147 horsepower or the GT powertrain which gives you 201 horsepower from a turbocharged 1.6-liter I4. The base engine comes with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) while the GT comes with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Four trim levels

The Forte is available in four trim levels, FE, LXS, GT-Line and GT. The EX model was discontinued for this model year, while Kia added a new GT-Line Sport Premium package.

The base trim, FE, comes with plenty of bells and whistles as well as a suite of safety gear that makes it a good buy. This trim includes air conditioning, cruise control, Sport and Comfort driving modes, automatic headlights, high beam assist and 15-inch steel wheels.

The LXS features 16-inch alloy rims, luxury interior door trims and 60/40 rear seats. It also gives you access to the LXS Technology Package ($ 500) which includes Blind Spot Collision Avoidance, Rear Cross Collision Avoidance, Safety Exit Warning, and heated exterior mirrors with integrated turn signals.

The GT Line finish has a sportier appearance but no engine upgrade. It includes the contents of the LXS Technology package and adds alloy pedals, a leather-wrapped shift knob and a flat-bottomed leather-wrapped steering wheel. The rear center armrest, dual-zone automatic climate control, remote start and 10.25-inch infotainment screen are also included.

The GT finish is at the top of the range and it has a sporty look, plus the turbocharged engine and a choice of 7-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission. The Kia Forte GT features unique 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, dual sport-tuned tailpipes, larger brakes, paddle shifters, rear air conditioning vent, and a USB port, as well as wireless charging. The GT trim comes with an optional GT2 pack that adds content from the Premium Sport Pack for the GT. You can also opt for a tech package that adds adaptive cruise control, cyclist detection and an electronic parking brake.

All versions of the 2022 Kia Forte have a destination fee of $ 995.
