New Delhi: To increase health care infrastructure and improve access to medical facilities in Buxwaha, Essel Mining and Industries Limited (EMIL) donated a digital x-ray machine, computer x-ray system ( CRS), blood analyzer and support equipment at the Community Health Center (CHC) in Buxwaha, Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh. CHC Buxwaha is an essential health facility in the region for a population of 1.25 lakh.
As part of its community-driven effort, EMIL also donated a hematology analyzer, semi-automatic biochemistry analyzer, blood pressure measuring devices and room lighting. mobile operation to support the medical procedure.
In addition, to strengthen the local health system and improve the capacity of medical staff to deal with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, several other equipment, including air conditioners, a water cooler, water filters, a refrigerator, wheelchairs and furniture were also donated to the CHC. in the presence of eminent dignitaries, Mr. Pradyuman Singh Lodhi, provincial deputy of Malhara and the president of Madhya Pradesh State Civil Supply Corporation, holder of the status of cabinet minister; Mr. Rahul Siladia, SDM Bijawar; Dr Lalit Upadhyaya, Block Medical Officer, Buxwaha and other local government officials.
Previously, for blood tests and x-rays, local residents had to travel about 60 to 90 kilometers to Chhatarpur, Damoh or Sagar. With new facilities, the community of villages around Buxwaha can now make an important diagnosis in their area, saving precious time and expense.

While appreciating the company’s community efforts and its contribution to the well-being of the villagers, MP Pradyuman Singh Lodhi also recognized the need for ambulances at the health center. He asked for the donation of an ambulance to the CHC which could further strengthen the village’s health infrastructure.
SDM Bijawar said: “It was much needed help in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.” He thanked EMIL for his benevolent gesture.
Along with this, to bolster the larger COVID-19 pandemic vaccination campaign, EMIL continues to provide logistical support to the local medical administration in remote areas.
Essel Mining believes in working to make a meaningful difference in the underprivileged communities where it operates. The company has received a letter of intent for the Bunder Diamond Block, which is a Greenfield mining project located in Buxwaha tehsil in the Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh.
This project should generate direct and indirect jobs for 1,000 to 1,500 inhabitants and improve road, health and education infrastructure, thereby accelerating the pace of socio-economic development in the region.
